Mission Statement

As an aerial dance studio, our goal is to empower and provide a creative outlet for youth through aerial dance. We aim to teach excellent aerial dance technique in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. Our programs build discipline, promote a positive self image and boost confidence. We are a community for youth to feel encouraged, supported, and free to be themselves.

What We Do

Aerial Dance PDX is an aerial dance studio offering regular class instruction on a variety of aerial apparatus. In addition to regular classes, we offer private instruction, specialty workshops and host birthday parties. Our primary audience is youth, but we also offer private and small group lessons for adults upon request.

We offer financial assistance opportunities to families who are in-need. Please send us an inquiry if you are wondering if this applies to you. All kids deserve access to the arts.

Who We Are

Owner and instructor, Alicia Anthony, has been airborne since 2005, when she began performing with A-WOL Dance Collective. This was a natural and life-changing addition to her background as a dancer. Since then, Alicia has trained and taught throughout the country absorbing as much as she can from her favorite aerialists and performers. She strives to create a fun, yet challenging learning environment that pushes students to reach beyond their goals. Alicia also has a background in classroom instruction and personal training, which aid her aerial instruction and curriculum. As an Oregon native, she enjoys the outdoors, but will spend much of the rainy season in a dance studio climbing, dancing, teaching and flying. She currently resides in the Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood with her husband and 5-year old son.
